Madonna's Rebel Heart bares her soul in a way she never has before.

The  NY Daily News  reviewed  Madonna ‘s  Rebel Heart  with    ! Check it out: Imagine a world where  Madonna  hates being photographed, where she considers quitting her career and admits to suffering haunting demands that she “act like the other girls.” It’s the same world where pigs fly and figure skaters crowd the deepest recesses of hell. Yet, somehow, that’s the world occupying significant parts of Madonna’s revelatory new album, “Rebel Heart.” More credibly than any previous work,  Madonna’s latest pulls back the curtain on her life, letting us see her hurt and yearning. It also finds her licking her wounds over a breakup with a far less powerful boy toy — presumably the decades-her-junior dancer Brahim Zaibat, who she saw for three years, ending in 2013. Maddy has said that she chose the album’s title to express two sides of her character:  the defiant warrior and the aching lover. While a decent portion of harder, bitchier odes do turn up,  the album as a whole presents the sof

Yoko Ono and Madonna fight ageism – in radically different ways | Music | The Guardian

Yoko Ono and  Madonna both fight ageism – in radically different ways Ono and Madonna have both felt the sharp edge of the ageism stick recently. Is it too much to hope that an artist can be loved for who she is? Yoko Ono turned 82 on 18 February, and noted the occasion with an open letter titled  Don’t Stop Me! , addressed to critics who think it unseemly that she’s still making music at her age. Ono doesn’t often respond to criticism, but whatever has been flung at her lately has evidently flustered her. “I don’t want to be old and sick like many others of my age. Please don’t create another old person,” she begins, going on to defend her singing and the right to wear hot pants in the video for her 2013 track Bad Dancer.  “I am afraid of just one thing,”  she concludes. “That those ageism criticism [sic] will finally influence me … Because dancing in the middle of an ageism society is a lonely trip.” Lonely indeed.  Ono  is one of the oldest artists to have an activ

Speaking to Europe 1 radio in an interview to be aired Friday morning, Madonna said "anti-Semitism is at an all-time high" in France and elsewhere in Europe, and likened the current atmosphere to the period when German fascism was on the ascent. "We're living in crazy times. It feels like Nazi Germany," the 56-year-old singer said, calling the situation "scary," and lamenting what she described as France's lost tradition of welcoming diversity and honouring freedom. "It was a country that embraced everyone and encouraged freedom in every way, shape or form -- artistic expression of freedom," Madonna sa

Madonna Is Unstoppable & Barely Fazed By Brit Awards Fall

We knew Madonna was tough, but  damn . The pop goddess fell backwards down the stairs during a live performance at the U.K.'s Brit Awards, and it looks like the sort of thing that would have knocked the wind out of any mere mortal. Not Madonna! After a few beats, Madge grabbed her mic, got to her feet, and finished performing "Living for Love," off Rebel Heart .   It looks like one of her sexy Minotaur dancers was supposed to remove Madonna's fancy bullfighter cape with a flourish, but when he gave it a tug, Madonna came tumbling down with it. Of course, Madonna's not the only person to take a spill during a spectacular musical performance. Jennifer Lopez famously fell on her tuchus at  the 2010 AMAs.  Heck,  even Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, and Queen Bey  aren't immune to the whims of gravity. Frankly, with all the dancing and flying and whatnot happening in these shows, it's a miracle anyone is able to stay upright. Madonna has  already  posted an Ins

Madonna Stays in Vogue with Rebel Heart

Her bold new album shows that for the Queen of Reinvention, the more things change, the more they stay the same On a recent evening in New York City, the singer Madonna was camped out at the headquarters of the famed auction house Sotheby’s. In recent years, many masterpieces have passed through its walls—Edvard Munch’s  The Scream  sold there for $119.9 million in 2012, setting a world record—but with an estimated wealth of $800 million, Madonna is probably the most valuable icon to take up temporary residence there. She’s definitely the most famous. And at 56, she’s also one of the youngest. These days, it’s not often that Madonna is the youngest artist anywhere. That hasn’t slowed her down. In a flatteringly lit studio, she’s already set out a bottle of tequila and shot glasses to play a drinking Click  HERE  to read full interview by TIME (although you do need a subscription)

Madonna breaks the internet

Twitter erupted as Madonna took a tumble during her performance of Living for Love that closed this evening’s Brits, here’s some of the reaction: Sanjay Sood-Smith : “I think Madonna may well have just broken the internet by falling backwards down some stairs on the Brits, sorry Kim Kardashian.” Dan Deacon : “Can someone tell me @Madonna is ok ? Was this one of those Brits meets Casualty hybrid programmes????” Jarett Wieselman:  “”Poor Madonna” is trending worldwide right now.” Richard Madeley : “And Madonna’s recovery from a really bad fall was the perfect reply. Well done M.” Little Boots : “At least someone did a performance exciting enough to involve the risk of tripping up.” Simon : “Forget about Ellen’s most tweeted selfie. That Madonna vids gonna break some records.” John Niven : “The good news is I bet Madonna is taking that tumble in really good humour. having a laugh. Not sacking anyone.”

Catastrophic Fall During Brit Awards Performance (Video) The performance of her song "Living for Love," off her new  Rebel   Heart  album, was the big finale at the end of the awards show. Madonna on Rolling Stone: “Don’t put me and Lady Gaga against each other!”

Madonna  is on the cover of  Rolling Stone  March issue. She was asked about  Lady Gaga  and explained how she has enough of this stupid feud and she adds again how talented Lady Gaga is. Check it out: Rolling Stone asks  Madonna  whether she is interested in being the  Queen of Pop .  M  answers that: Well, I do think of myself as a queen. There’s room for other queens. We reign over different kingdoms. Rolling Stone:  Lady Gaga told to Howard Stern that there’s a perception out there that she wanted your crown. LG said “I don’t want her fucking throne.  Madonna: I don’t think she wants my crown. We live in a world where people like to pit women against each other. And this is why I love the idea of embracing other females who are doing what I’m doing. It’s important for us to support each other.  The only time I ever criticized Lady Gaga was when I felt like she blatantly ripped off one of my songs.  It’s got nothing to do with “she’s taking my crown” or

Madonna, Rebel Heart, review: ‘she’s in the game again’

Rebel Heart pairs classic songwriting and contemporary adventure in Madonna’s least desperate album in years, says Neil McCormick “Who do you think you are?” demands a screeching voice on the self-explanatorily titled B*tch I’m Madonna. If anyone in pop has earned the right to assert herself so rudely it is surely  Madonna Louise Ciccone , an iconic A-List superstar for over 30 years. It helps that the track in question fizzes with bright energy, a handclapping rave anthem powered by a fantastically wonky synth line that sounds like a vintage arcade game played on an electronic kazoo, and topped off with a snappy Nicki Minaj rap. Madonna delivers the melody like a playground nursery rhyme, chanting about bad behaviour in a butter-wouldn’t-melt sing-song voice. Click  HERE  for full review by the Telegraph

Who's That Girl? Madonna looks drained as she holds 'respiratory inhaler' while taking a breather during rehearsals for Brits performance

Earnest rehearsals for a live performance at the forthcoming Brit Awards appeared to have taken their toll on pop stalwart Madonna as she stepped out on Sunday evening. The 56-year-old will receive the Lifetime Achievement award when the annual show kicks off at London’s O2 Arena on Wednesday evening. But as she emerged following a choreographed rehearsal at the cavernous venue, Madonna looked drained and in need of a good night’s sleep. Earnest preparations: But Madonna appeared to be in need of a good night's sleep as she prepared for her performance at the forthcoming Brit Awards on Monday evening The pop legend sported a casual hooded top and tracksuit bottoms as she idled outside with members of the production team after the energetic routine that will no doubt close Wednesday’s awards ceremony. Curiously, the singer held what appeared to be a small pocket sized nebulizer – an inhaler commonly used to alleviate respiratory conditions such as asthma. Wit
