Madonna’s still “Living for Love” — and for her family.
On Friday night, the pop icon hosted a star-studded fundraiser for her Raising Malawicharity, which her 11-year-old son David Banda attended and spoke onstage. The mother-son outing came just a week before Madonna, 58, will be honored as Billboard‘s Woman of the Year in New York City at the industry publication’s annual awards.
Monday, the singer’s Billboard cover interview by actress-filmmaker Elizabeth Banksdropped, and Madonna opened up about her relationship with her four children: Lourdes, 20, Rocco, 16, David Banda and Mercy James, 10.
“My family is everything. I will go to war for them. Whatever I’m fighting for, it’s for my daughters and my sons. I want them to have a good future,” the Madonna: Rebel Heart Tour star, 58, said in the candid conversation with Banks.

“I’ve created an unconventional family, and we have discussions at the dinner table about all sorts of things,” she added. “My 11-year-old son can speak eloquently about Malcolm X and Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela and James Baldwin. My daughter Mercy plays the piano and can talk to you about Nina Simone. I’m really proud of that.”
The proud mom also talked social media and how she decides what to post of her children on platforms like Instagram.

“When I post their things, they give me permission,” Madonna said in her Billboard cover story. “A lot of times they’ll send me pictures and say, ‘Please don’t post this,’ and I won’t. They have private accounts, and I respect that. I also consider my children part of my work and the work that we do together.”

One cause that is particularly near and dear to the family’s hearts: her Raising Malawi organization. All four of her children have joined the performer on trips to the African country, from which she adopted son David and daughter Mercy in 2006 and 2009, respectively.
David Banda was 13 months old and had pneumonia and malaria when Madonna and ex Guy Ritchie adopted him after his own mother died of childbirth complications. He took the stage Friday at the Raising Malawi event after a moving clip about his and his mother’s journey together played.

“My name is David,” her younger son said at the gala, which raised $7.5 million. “Now you know a little bit about Malawi and how I met my mother … I realize I’m one of the lucky ones.”

Madonna Started Filming The "Bedtime Story" Video on December 5 1994.

The inspiration behind the video. Hello everyone! This month’s music video to be analyzed is the for “Bedtime Story”, While this video is tricky for its various sources of inspiration, it’s one of her best, if not  the   best, and an underrated one by most fans. I am sure that, after reading all of this, you’ll find yourself more in love with the true artist Madonna really is. Madonna called upon “Rain” director Mark Romanek to do the music video for “Bedtime Story” after she saw what he had done with Nine Inch Nails’ “Closer”. As she always does, she listened to the song over and over again, trying to think of a concept for a video. The theme she held on to for this one was dreams, it’s meaning, concepts, imagery and works based on it. She’s a huge fan of surrealistic art, in which lots of paintings deal about dreaming, or allude to something unfathomable in real life. She held to that and brought that concept to Romanek, that really liked the idea and wanted to add ...
