"You'll See" was released on October 30, 1995 by Maverick Records as the first single from Madonna's ballads compilation album, "Something to Remember" The album was released with the intention of toning down the image of Madonna, who was being heavily criticized at the time. The singer decided to work with producer  David Foster , who co-wrote and produced three songs with Madonna in September 1995. Stella McCartney admitted that she nearly lost her cool when she first met Madonna, now one of her best friends. When the singer first turned up for a fitting, Stella nearly flooded her apartment. "Madonna came to my studio in London when I had just left college," said Stella. "I was running a bath and was totally unprepared. I thought, 'Oh my God she's here' - panicked and ran downstairs to let her in. There were paparazzi everywhere taking her picture, which really flustered me. When I ran back upstairs the bath had over run and had started to flood my flat. It was a nightmare! Then, when she tried my clothes on, I told her she had a fat arse. She laughed and bought some."
