Step into Madonna's $350 shoes as Material Girl launches 'provocative' new footwear line
Sole singer: Madonna new shoe collection will go sale in the autumn
Madonna's long-term stylist and W.E costume designer Arianne Phillips is a creative consultant on the project and Aldo will do the manufacturing.
The punky line is heavily influenced by the singer's Eighties era, with black lace, gold heels, studs and cap-toe details.
However, although the footwear looks fierce and trendy, the singer has squarely aimed the range at an older market compared to her other fashion forays.
Unlike her teen-orientated Material Girl fashion line, which Madonna created with her 15-year-old daughter Lourdes for Macys, the shoes are targeting women aged between 27 and 50-years-old.
Unsurprisingly, the news has created a frenzy in the retail market with Nordstrom, ASOS.com and Macys signed up to sell the goods.
Despite the excitement, Ms Phillips maintains that this is a deeply personal project for the singer.
Heel appeal: The only official
images released so far of the much-anticipated collection is the studded
'Meiko' pump, $179 (left), and the 'Anise' boot, $159
'Her fingers are really on this brand,' she told Footwear News.'The first thing I did was remind her of all the shoes she wore over the years, and we took the styles that we can't live without.
'You can always depend on her to bring her style and provocateur quality, but she also has a very feminine perspective.'
Kinky boots: The singer has bought her trademark

flats and other fashionable footwear
The collection will be released through Madonna's company Truth or Dare, which debuted with a fragrance in November 2010 and is planning on releasing a lingerie line later this year and other accessories in 2013.
