Madonna's daughter is said to be in the throes of a teen romance with the young star of Homeland. Lourdes Leon, 16, has been linked to Timotheé Chalamet - who plays Finn, the son of vice-president Walden on the hit Showtime series. The pair are both students at the esteemed LaGuardia High School of Music & Art & Performing Arts. A source tells the   New York Post  it is 'common knowledge at the school that the pair are dating.' Madonna to auction art for Pakistani, Afghan girls

  NEW YORK - Pop star Madonna and Sotheby’s announced Wednesday the auction of a Cubist masterpiece by French artist Fernand Leger to support an education project for girls in Afghanistan and Pakistan. TRENDING DISCUSSIONS The painting “Trois femmes a la table rouge,” estimated at $5-7 million, will go on sale in New York on May 7, with proceeds going to the Ray of Light Foundation. Madonna, who has been made enormously wealthy through her pop singing career, said she wanted to help “countries where female education is rare or non-existent. I cannot accept a world where women or girls are wounded, shot or killed for either going to school or teaching in girls’ schools.” “I want to trade something valuable for something invaluable - educating girls,” she said in a statement. Madonna has owned the painting since 1990. It goes on view in Hong Kong and London before returning to New York in time to join the spring evening sale of Impressionist and modern art.

Sotheby’s is honored to announce that it will auction a painting from Madonna’s collection in its Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale on 7 May 2013. Proceeds from the sale of Fernand Leger’s Trois femmes à la table rouge, which is estimated at $5/7 million, will benefit the Ray of Light Foundation to support girls’ education projects in Afghanistan, Pakistan and other countries. In Afghanistan, just 12% of women are literate and it is estimated that only seven girls to every ten boys are able to attend school. In Pakistan, which has one of the largest populations of out-of-school children in the world, it is estimated that there are more than 3 million primary school-aged girls unable to attend school. Local residents say that U.S. pop diva Madonna has arrived in Malawi for an unannounced visit. An aviation department worker said Madonna's jet landed at the Kamuzu International Airport in the country's capital, Lilongwe, early Monday. It was not clear if she came with her children. The aviation worker spoke on condition of anonymity because he did not have permission to speak to the press. The singer has previously stayed at the exclusive Kumbali Lodge in Lilongwe, and an employee there says all other guests were checked out. The employee spoke on condition of anonymity because he didn't have permission to speak to the press on the matter. Madonna adopted two children from Malawi.
