July 2, 1990, The Roman Catholic church condemned Madonna's as "Blond Ambition" concert as sinful.

Not that it's a good thing to earn the wrath of the Roman Catholic Church, but it speaks to what a big deal the Blond Ambition tour was that the Vatican's official newspaper,  Osservatore Romano , declared the show sinful – a more or less unprecedented decision.  Madonna's legendary speech in Italy as seen in Truth or Dare . I am an ltalian-American, and I am proud of it. Proud of being an American because it is the country I grew up in, the country that gave me the opportunities to be who I am today and a country that believes in freedom of speech and artistic expression. My show is not a conventional rock show but a theatrical presentation of my music. And, like theater it asks questions, provokes thought and takes you on an emotional journey. Portraying good and bad, light and dark, joy and sorrow, redemption and salvation. I do not endorse a way of life but describe one, and the audience is left to make its own decisions and j

June 30, 1986, // True Blue is the third studio album by Madonna released by Sire Records.

True Blue  is the third studio album by American singer and songwriter  Madonna , released on June 30, 1986, by  Sire Records . She co-wrote and co-produced the entire album with  Stephen Bray  and  Patrick Leonard . Deemed Madonna's most girlish album,  True Blue  deals with her visions of love, work, dreams as well as disappointments, and was inspired by her then husband  Sean Penn , to whom Madonna dedicated the album. Musically, the songs on the album took a different direction from her previous endeavours, incorporating  classical music  in order to engage an older audience who had been skeptical of her music. The album features instrumentation from acoustic guitars, drums, synthesizers and  Cuban  musical instruments. The topic for the songs range from love, freedom, and in the case of " Papa Don't Preach ", social issues like  teenage pregnancy . After its release,  True Blue  received critical acclaim, with music critics who complimented the album

VINTAGE VERSACE MADONNA AD CAMPAIGN JUNE 29TH, 2011

Spotted these vintage looking  Versace Madonna  ads while searching around for Eames chairs. I won’t claim to be a fashion expert but the articles of clothing that she is wearing in these looks vintage, mid 60s early 70s. One of the goals of the campaign was to show Madonna working in a different working environment not bound by the typical working woman. Versace dumped $20 million into their campaign for the year—this campaign was in 2005. Are they doing well now? I’m not sure. But at the very least they included an Eames Aluminum chair and an Apple keyboard and mouse. Found on  Eames design

There’s one woman Madonna is really going to miss when she takes to the stage at Live 8: Kylie Minogue, her biggest fan in pop. The shocking news of Kylie’s battle with breast cancer has Madonna admits hit her hard. Live 8 may not be quite the same without the Aussie pop star, but Madonna’s certain things will turn out well fot her.’Aside from being tremendously talented, Kylie’s a fighter and I know this is a battle she’ll win,’ she says. The two stars formed a mutual appreciation society five years ago after Madonna wore a Kylie Minogue T-shirt for a concert. At the time, Kyiie admitted that she was ‘completely and utterly stunned’ by the message and she later returned the compliment by wearing a Madonna vest. ‘I’m her absolute biggest fan,’ she added. Madonna clearly thinks the world of her, too. ‘I was so very sad when I heard about Kylie,’ she says. ‘I’m praying for her recovery and sending her love and light. She’s an incredible woman and so loved by so many people.’ Su
