January 15, 1993 - Madonna's "Body of Evidence" American erotic thriller film produced by Dino De Laurentiis was released.

Body of Evidence  is a 1993 American erotic thriller film produced by Dino De Laurentiis and distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and originally had the rare NC-17 rating. It was directed by Uli Edel and written by Brad Mirman. The film stars Madonna and Willem Dafoe,   with  Joe Mantegna ,  Anne Archer ,  Julianne Moore  and  Jürgen Prochnow  in supporting roles. The first theatrical release was censored for the purpose of obtaining an R rating, reducing the film's running time from 101 to 99 minutes The video première, however, restored the deleted material. Madonna's performance in the film was universally derided by film critics and it marked her fourth film acting performance to be widely panned, following  Shanghai Surprise ,  Who's That Girl and  Bloodhounds of Broadway . January 15, 2012 // Madonna gets award for best original song for "Masterpiece" from the movie "W.E.," at the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, California.

January 12-18th 1993 "Bad Girl" was filmed on location in New York City, directed by David Fincher, who worked with Madonna on her videos for "Express Yourself", "Oh Father" and "Vogue."

The music video for "Bad Girl" features Madonna playing the character "Louise Oriole" (Madonna's middle name is Louise and Oriole is a street she once lived on), a high-powered and successful but ultimately lonely Manhattan female executive who is a chain smoking  alcoholic  who has a penchant for one-night stands with many different men (from affluent  yuppies  to shady  low-lifes ).  She behaves this way in order to try and deal with her depression and sadness over a relationship with someone she loves deeply, but ultimately has no future. Through her days, Louise gets distracted by cigarettes, cocktails, and random hook-ups, as lamented in the song's lyrics.  Christopher Walken  plays her guardian angel, who watches over her self-destructive activities.  In one scene Louise wakes up alone in her bed after a one-night stand and discovers a hand-written note laying on the pillow beside her.
