Kim Kardashian’s blonde hair inspired by Madonna.

Kim Kardashian West  has the ultimate blonde ambition. The star reveals to  PEOPLE  that her much talked about platinum hair was influenced by music icon — and famous blonde —  Madonna ! I’ve always had this image of Madonna with platinum hair in my references folder on my computer and I’ve been waiting a long time to try the look. I thought what better time than right now for Paris Fashion Week. It was a really last minute decision

Madonna: I’ve written a song for Kanye West’s next album

Madonna was perfectly turned out and running nearly an hour late for an interview with the  New York Times  at her Upper East Side home on Wednesday evening. She looked tense as she apologized. “I’m late for everything now,” she said. She added that she has been in a rush since December, when a hacker put unfinished songs online from her new album, “Rebel Heart”. I intended to think about things, choose things more slowly — the whole process. Then I got forced into putting everything out, and now I’m trying to catch up with myself. What started out as an invigorating, life-enhancing, joyous experience evolved into something quite crazy. A strange artistic process, but a sign of the time. We’re all digital, we’re all vulnerable and everything’s instant — so instant. Instant success and instant failure. Instant discovery, instant destruction, instant construction. It’s as splendid and wonderful as it is devastating. Honestly, to me it’s the death of being an artist in many w

Madonna on Making 'Rebel Heart,' the Age of Distraction, Joan of Arc | Rolling Stone

Madonna talks about making 'Rebel Heart,' brainstorming for her new tour in outtakes from our cover story.  Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic/Getty Madonna was tired but cheerful when she sat down in her Manhattan mansion for her  Rolling Stone  cover-story interview , just after the Grammys in February. She gave a mini-tour of a small portion of her house, pointing out the Debbie Harry and David Bowie photos in her elevator ("nobody in their 20s knows who that is"), the one-of-a-kind collage the late Keith Haring made for her and many photos by her friend Steven Klein. In the interview itself, she discussed ageism, Lady Gaga, Kanye West and much more — but there was even more that didn't make the print edition. Here's the best of the rest, including a look at the creative process behind her new album, Rebel Heart . More:  Madonna on Making 'Rebel Heart,' the Age of Distraction, Joan of Arc | Rolling Stone

GIORGIO ARMANI DISCLAIMS THE BLAME FOR FALL MADONNA

Madonna's fall at the Brit Awards still yields. Soon after the incident, Madonna posted on his Instagram a message that was fine and that his clothes Armani had him hanged for being too tight. "The Armani hanged me! My beautiful cover was tied too tight. But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for the good messages! I'm fine! " The next day, in an interview with Jonathan Ross Madonna gave more details telling his version: "They changed my choreography and told me to tighten the knot of my cape and start walking much earlier than I had tested. Everyone was worried that my cape would fall in the path then made a tight knot in my neck. Then I went walking marching like a queen. I was pro top of the stairs and pulled the silk cord that actually had not broken the tie. And so, my beloved two Japanese basically strangled me on stage. I had two choices: to be strangled or fall. I chose to fall. " With the huge response, the press

Madonna Channels Pal Kanye With Her Fur-Trimmed Parka

Taking a page from the Kanye West style manual, Madonna suits up in a fur-trimmed parka (a total trademark Kanye piece) as she leaves Paris. Last night, the 56-year-old was partying down for her release party for her new single "Living for Love." Interestingly enough, just a day after her interview about her collaboration with Kanye, the Material Girl was dressed just like him in the City of Lights. Madge must be on a real Kanye kick -- she just collaborated with Yeezy for the song "Illuminati" off of hew new album  Rebel Heart , which drops this Friday. In her new  Rolling Stone  cover story, Madonna talked about the controversial music man. "I feel like the music business needs him, because everyone's become so politically correct, so safe," Madonna said. "I don't always agree with the things he says or does - I don't always like his music, even. But he's a beautiful mess. I love him,"  she added. Meanwhile, it

MADONNA’S PHOTOS FOR THE EXHIBIT “HERB RITTS : THE ROCK PORTRAITS”

The work of renowned photographer Herb Ritts (1952-2002) will be featured in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s newest exhibit, Herb Ritts: The Rock Portraits, which will open on Friday, Mar. 13, 2015. Presented in collaboration with the Herb Ritts Foundation, the exhibit includes 30 never-before-seen photographs, original video footage, contact sheets with Ritts’ red-pencil markings, new video interviews and other well-known portraits from the revolutionary photographer and filmmakers’ collection. “Rock and roll is all about defying convention, being bold in your expression and making a statement,” said Mark McKenna, president of the Herb Ritts Foundation. “In that sense, Herb Ritts himself was very rock and roll. His anti-glamour style broke the mold, ushering in a new aesthetic that influenced generations. Having an exhibit that showcases the world of rock through his inimitable lens, capturing rare, unguarded moments with some of the biggest names in music histor

France: Marine Le Pen to meet Madonna for a drink

Marine Le Pen to meet Madonna for a drink Madonna surprisingly invited the anti-immigration politician out for a drink during a TV talk show earlier this week, days after describing Le Pen's National Front (FN) party as "Fascist". "I think that I would like to sit down and have a drink with Marine Le Pen," she told news show Grand Journal. "I want to understand where she's coming from." "Maybe I misunderstood Marine Le Pen, I am not sure," she continued. "I don't want to start a war. I want peace in the world." More:  France: Marine Le Pen to meet Madonna for a drink

Madonna on Kanye West: “I don’t always like his music, but he’s a beautiful mess. I love him.”

Interviewed by  Rolling Stone  Magazine,  Madonna  talks about  Kanye West  as a creative force and more. Check it out: It’s really hard to describe Kanye in one sentence, so I may have to use several. He’s a brilliant madman. He can’t help himself. Like, he doesn’t have the same filters other people have. He has to blurt things out – he’s always saying inappropriate stuff. But he also has brilliant ideas, if you can get him to pay attention long enough, working with him in the studio. He would come and go. He would drive me bonkers, because he’s got so many things going on in his life. And this seemed to be the theme of my record, working with people who can’t get off their phone, can’t stop tweeting, can’t focus and finish a song. It drove me crazy. But when they did pay attention, it was brilliant. I was, like, running around with a butterfly net. But I feel like the music business needs him, because everyone’s become so politically correct, so safe. Madonna  has som

A CONVERSATION WITH MADONNA

Pitchfork: You have worked in lots of different mediums—acting, directing, theater, philanthropy—but always come back to pop music as your primary means of expression. Madonna:  Yes, my home base—pop music and the Catholic Church. Pitchfork: And sex. M: [ laughs] Yes. Why not? All three together, if possible. Pitchfork: What makes pop music such a powerful medium for you? M:  It’s very primal. It’s also like poetry, when it’s good. I like that you have four minutes to zero in on something and evoke a specific feeling and take people on some sort of journey. When I discovered that I could write music, it felt like the most natural way for me to connect with people and tell my stories. I’ve always thought of that as what I do: I tell stories. Pitchfork: I was really surprised by this new record. To be honest, I was also kind of relieved… M:  That you didn’t hate it? [laughs] Pitchfork: Yes, actually. I mean, you never know… M:  Totally. That’s to be expected. Pitchf
