September 15, 2001 // Madonna plays the rescheduled gig which was due sept 11, and her last show of the "Drowned World Tour"

Tonight Madonna plays the rescheduled gig that originally was supposed to happen on tuesday. It's her last show of the tour, which is also attended by Jack Nicholson and Lara Flynn Boyle. And many small changes mark her 47th and final concert. For a start, the show doesn't start off right away with the  Drowned World  intro, but with the intro that was used on the  Girlie Show ; a circus song that preluded  Erotica . Then  Drowned World  kicks off and Madonna comes on stage with the US kilt. At the end of  Candy Perfume Girl , Madonna rips off her guitar and slams it to the ground. Then when Niki and Donna get the  Beautiful Stranger  on stage, this is none other than Guy Ritchie. Madonna fights against the girls and throws them on the ground so she can have her Guy all for herself backstage. During  Nobody's Perfect , the samourai master shows some mercy on her when he reaches down and gives her a quick peck on the cheek. As she's...

15 Sep 2007, // Madonna has met Israeli President Shimon Peres during a spiritual pilgrimage to Jerusalem to mark the Jewish New Year.

The pair exchanged gifts and discussed world peace during the meeting, a spokeswoman for Peres said. Madonna, who is not Jewish, also attended a conference on Jewish mysticism - or Kabbalah - and plans to visit sites sacred to Kabbalists. Some Rabbis have criticised interest by non-Jewish celebrities in the subject. Jewish tradition Madonna, who was raised a Roman Catholic, has taken the Hebrew name Esther and has been seen with a red thread on her wrist - as sometimes worn by followers of Jewish mysticism to ward off the evil eye. She arrived in Israel last week with her husband Guy Ritchie for a conference on Kabbalah. Movie star Demi Moore and her husband, actor Ashton Kutcher, former talk show host Rosie O'Donnell and fashion designer Donna Karan are also believed to be in Israel for the event.Madonna paid her first visit to Israel three years ago, on another Kabbalah-centred trip.

September 14th 2001 - Madonna gave a speech at LA Drowned World Tour about the terroristic attacks earlier that week.

The third show in LA is influenced by the terroristic attacks earlier this week. Just like yesterday she is wearing an American flag as kilt. Again she doesn't shoot the dancer after  Mer Girl . And she keeps another speech instead of  Oh Dear Daddy , which calls for peace and understanding. As you can read in the transcript beneath, Madonna urges president Bush not to react to the attacks with more violence. The speech goes something like this: "Howdy, Los Angeles! Having a good time? It's kind of confusing trying to have a good time this week as you all know, and I want you all to know how priviliged I feel to be in the position that I am in today. We don't... we're not doing the show because we want people to forget, we're doing the show because we want to remind people of how precious life is. And how full of joy it should be.  The tragedy that occurred this week is unthinkable but i want to think of it as a big fucking wakeup call. OK? But now that ...

A host of celebrities and their children were invited to a tea party in London to launch Madonna's first children's book, The English Roses, on Sunday. "I like little kids better than big people. Her son Rocco, three, had already arrived at the party with husband Guy Ritchie. Other guests at the tea party ...

LADY GAGA ADDRESSES MADONNA COLLABORATION RUMOURS

Mother Monster has been grilled by Andy Cohen on finer details of her upcoming fifth studio album. Lady Gaga is back, and she’s setting the record straight on one or two things. The singer and actress was in London for the launch of her  new single  ‘ Perfect Illusion’  last Friday (September 9), but zipped back over to America to sit down with SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen yesterday (September 12), to talk about the inspiration behind the single, working with the biggest names in pop culture, and of course, when we can expect her hotly anticipated fifth album. Even though Gaga’s latest sound is distinctly rockier than her early work, her pure pop credentials are up there with the greats. ‘Paparazzi’ and its follow-on track, Beyoncé collaboration ‘Telephone’, were both enormous moments in pop culture. But despite the whole world crying out for the third part to the music video trilogy (preferably with another Beyoncé collaboration, of course), Gaga was pretty c...

Sept 13, 2016 // Madonna jetted into London this week to help settle her son Rocco back into school after she settled her custody battle with ex Guy Ritchie.

Madonna jetted into London this week to help settle her son Rocco back into school after she settled her custody battle with ex Guy Ritchie. But despite overcoming their rocky patch only months ago, Madonna risked embarrassing the 16-year-old by turning up on his first day back from summer break - while wearing a sheer blouse. Seemingly oblivious, the Queen of Pop, 58, looked in high spirits as she walked out linking arms with his head teacher after a short meeting. Madonna and her son's principal looked to have become firm friends since they first met during tenser times in April, when the Vogue singer had only just patched up her rocky relationship with her eldest son after he moved to the UK to live with his father. Despite adding a awkwardly sexy addition her ensemble for the school trip, Madonna kept the rest of her look rather demure - wearing a pencil skirt and sophisticated black heels. Madonna flew into London to ensure the teenager settled into...
