September 30 1999, Madonna’s Blond Ambition Tour was named The Greatest Concert Of The 1990s by Rolling Stone magazine.

The  Blond Ambition World Tour  was the third  concert tour  by Madonna . The tour was launched in support of her fourth  studio album ,  Like a Prayer , and the soundtrack,  I'm Breathless . The tour reached North America, Europe and Asia. It was a highly controversial tour, mainly for its juxtaposition of Catholic iconography and sexuality.  Rolling Stone  called it an "elaborately choreographed, sexually provocative extravaganza" and proclaimed it "the best tour of 1990."

Madonna on Letterman show - September 30, 2009

Madonna appeared for the last time on September 30, 2009 to promote her latest release, the greatest hits compilation  Celebration . During this episode, Letterman and Madonna again made light of her appearance on the show in 1994. The episode concluded with Letterman and Madonna going down the street and sharing a vegetarian pizza (minus cheese at Madonna's request) and martinis together.

" Die Another Day " -  Madonna . The song initially leaked into the internet in early October 2002 prior to the official release, prompting radio to play the track. It was released commercially as a  single  on October 22 by Maverick Records and was later included on the singer's ninth studio album,  American Life  (2003), and her greatest hits compilation,  Celebration  (2009). Following the release of the previous Bond single, "The World Is Not Enough", MGM wanted a high-profile artist for Die Another Day  and Madonna was their choice. She wrote and produced the song with Mirwais Ahmadzaï while French composer Michel Colombier was enlisted as composer. While developing, the track went through numerous changes. After Madonna saw the initial version of the film she adapted the song, described as a metaphor for destroying one's ego. On the issue of September 26, 2009, "Celebration" became Madonna's 40th number-one song on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart, the most for an artist.  The song also debuted on the  Adult Pop Songs  chart at number 36.  "Celebration" has sold 192,000 digital downloads in the United States as of April 2010.  In Canada, the song debuted at number 56 on the  Canadian Hot 100  and reached a peak of five the next week, becoming the week's airplay gainer.
