PARIS – He may be one of the world’s most famous designers, but Jean Paul Gaultier seems to be falling out of love with the fashion industry.       The French couturier — who found fame putting Madonna in a conical bra and helped shape global trends for four decades — shocked the fashion world by ending his ready-to-wear and menswear lines earlier this year.  Looking back through his four decades of creations he recalls the surprising origin of the bustier that first made him a household name in the U.S. — when a certain pop star from Michigan wore it on her “Blond Ambition” tour in 1990. “It was not Madonna who wore my first conical bra, it was Nana my Teddy Bear. And when I was six, I wanted to have a doll, but my parents didn’t find it politically correct for a boy, ” he said. New Madonna interview on BBC Radio 2 next week Madonna will be a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon! The episode will air on April 9th on NBC. Jo Whiley will be interviewing Madonna on her BBC Radio 2 show next week. They’ll be catching up and having a chat on Tuesday 31st March, between 8pm and 10pm in what will be her first interview with any radio station in the UK for a long time.

Madonna, Beyoncé, Rihanna and other artists publicly throwing their support behind Jay Z’s new streaming service, Tidal, have been receiving mixed reactions from fans. According to their website, Tidal is the first music streaming service that combines the best High Fidelity sound quality, High Definition music videos and expertly Curated Editorial. They currently have two memberships: $9.99 a month for standard quality sound, or $19.99 a month for “lossless high-fidelity sound.” However, the co-ordinated effort has been hit by a backlash from fans for employing activism tactics to promote an app which helps musicians earn more money rather than using their voice to publicise a genuine charity campaign. The streaming service, which aims to provide CD-quality streaming, offers subscribers access to 25 million tracks, 75,000 music videos and other content including artist interviews for £19.199 per month. Tidal is available across North America and Europe, but today marks the first time Jay Z will unveil plans for how the streaming service will directly benefit the artists involved.
