"Sorry" is a song by Madonna from her tenth studio  album Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005). It was written and produced by Madonna and Stuart Price, and released as the second single from the album on February 7, 2006.  It later appeared on Celebration, her 2009 greatest hits album. An uptempo dance song, "Sorry" was one of the first tracks developed for the album and had numerous remix treatments before the ultimate version of the track was finalized. One of the remixes was done by the Pet Shop Boys, featuring added lyrics by the band. The actual song features a dance groove tempo. It talks about personal empowerment and self-sufficiency. "Sorry" received positive reviews from contemporary critics, who declared the track the strongest song on Confessions on a Dance Floor. On This Day: 5th February 2012 - Madonna preformed at the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show.

The  Super Bowl XLVI halftime show   occurred on February 5, 2012, at the   Lucas Oil Stadium   in   Indianapolis   as part of   Super Bowl XLVI . It featured American singer   Madonna , with special guests   LMFAO ,   Nicki Minaj ,   M.I.A.   and   CeeLo Green . In 2011, the   National Football League   (NFL) announced that Madonna would perform at the XLVI show. The singer collaborated with   Cirque du Soleil   for producing the show, while her longtime choreographer   Jamie King   was the music director; King in turn enlisted multimedia show producer   Moment Factory . Madonna’s  Give Me All Your Luvin  The lead-off single from the album  MDNA , featuring  Nicki Minaj  and  M.I.A. , was released as a digital single on  February 3rd 2012 . The worldwide radio and video premiere followed the same day. The cheerleader track seems to have been written specifically for its performance during the halftime show of the Super Bowl XLVI on Feb. 5th at the Lucas Oil Stadium of Indianapolis. A demo version of the song leaked online in  November 2011. A few weeks later, a Spanish  fan was arrested for the leak (though he was  released soon after). The final version turned  out quite similar, except for added vocals by  Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. The track became Madonna's record-extending 38th US Top 10 hit, peaking at #10 after a full week of sales boosted by the Super Bowl performance. Filming Dick Tracy began on February 2, 1989 and ended three months later.

In 1990, Madonna was part of the film  Dick Tracy  starring as Breathless Mahoney—a new role introduced for her— with  Warren Beatty  playing the  titular character . Madonna told  Premiere  magazine that initially she had waited for Beatty to call her for the film. But when he did not, the singer decided to involve herself voluntarily. She pursued the part of Mahoney, but offered to work for minimum wages to avoid favoritism. Principal photography  for  Dick Tracy  began on February 2, 1989 and ended three months later. The filmmakers considered shooting the film on-location in Chicago, Illinois, but production designer  Richard Sylbert  believed that  Dick Tracy  would work better using sound stages and backlots at  Universal Studios  in Universal City, California.  Other filming took place at   Warner Bros Studios   in Burbank, California.   Beatty often encourag...
