Madonna will reportedly spend Christmas with Sean Penn after dumping Brahim Zaibat. The 'Material Girl' singer recently went on a charity trip to Haiti with the 53-year-old actor, to whom she was married between 1985 and 1989, and it's thought the pair may be rekindling their romance as she recently split from her boyfriend of three years. A source told The Sun newspaper: ''She needs someone who is more of an equal. She needs to be challenged, which Sean does. ''Sean and Madonna now want to see each other over Christmas and Madonna's even considering getting a place out in Haiti. They're in touch non-stop. Madonna  clearly isn't letting something like a breakup get in the way of enjoying a good meal. Just hours after a rep for the singer confirmed to E! News that the 55-year-old pop icon and her 25-year-old boyfriend  Brahim Zaibat  had  called it quits , Madonna was spotted having dinner at Stanton Social in New York City on Wednesday, Dec. 11. A source tells E! News that Madonna was joined by six others, including daughter Lourdes , and was sporting a sleeveless white top and jeans. We're told the group ordered tuna poke, shishito peppers, veggie sliders, butternut squash ravioli as well as macaroni and cheese. And apparently they didn't hesitate to indulge in some dessert, with our source saying Madonna and company enjoyed a variety of sweets like chocolate mousse, pumpkin sundaes, donuts, hot chocolate and cheesecake. Earlier in the week, Madonna cheered Lourdes on as the 17-year-old performed as Betty Rizzo in her high school's production of  Grease .
