In case you missed the "drama" recently between Elton John and Madonna, let me catch you up. The glamorous 50-something singer, songwriter, dancer and entrepreneur (to name a few) is on her MDNA World Tour and along the way has been subjected to a few not-so-nice "jabs" from Sir Elton John. Earlier in the year, Sir Elton suggested that the Material Girl "lip-sync good" before her Superbowl performance and last month he said, "Why is she such a nightmare? Sorry, her career is over." There's more, but isn't that harsh enough? Anyway, apparently she took the high road and all is forgiven. Madonna may not be visiting Australia anytime soon, but her brand new venture in central Sydney is putting fitness first. Yesterday the V-Club gym in downtown Druitt Street rebranded and reopened as part of the singer’s own Hard Candy global chain of fitness one-stop-shops. This afternoon Same Same spoke to a staff member there who told us the gym is now decked out “with Madonna all around us” and that her music will now always play around the venue. When we were put on hold briefly, ‘Like a Prayer’ was played to us. The venue spans four floors, with seven studios and even an outdoor training rooftop.
