The 54-year-old's latest record has been named number one in the Russian end-of-year album chart, reports Lenta.ru. Madonna took her MDNA tour to Russia in August this year and she was subsequently hit with a $10.5 million lawsuit by activists who claimed she illegally promoted homosexuality at her show in St. Petersburg by handing out pink wristbands in support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual a nd transgender (LGBT) community. According to femalefirst.co.uk, the lawsuit was subsequently dismissed. Madonna also hit headlines in Russia this year by speaking out in support of members of punk band Pussy Riot, who were jailed for performing a song railing against President Vladimir Putin in February.

Did Madonna steal from Patricia Field? That question began floating around the blogosphere on Thursday afternoon after The Cut reported on a post from Patricia Field’s Tumblr called “MADONNA STOLE OUR VOGUE HATS!!“. Director elected MDNA Tour DVD! 26/12/12 In November, two concerts MDNA Tour in Miami were recorded for the DVD and Blu-Ray. We already know who will be responsible for directing and installation of the show - Stéphane Sennour of Domyprod and Danny Tull. Sennour and Domyprod already worked with Madonna on the occasion of the document Inside the DNA of MDNA  and broadcast the show from the Olympia, while Danny Tull was responsible for the installation of previous releases of the Queen of Pop -  The Confessions Tour  ,  Sticky & Sweet  , as well as the  EC  and  I Am Because We Are  .
