Pop diva Madonna's latest album MDNA is the fastest selling international album in the India this year.
The album, in the first week of its release, has achieved a Gold status in India and is at number one on the national Planet M retail charts. Girl Gone Wild, a track from MDNA, released on March 26 worldwide and has debuted on top in the iTunes charts in 40 countries. The record has also witnessed the biggest one day pre sale on iTunes by any artist in history. It's the 8th time Madonna has returned to the top of the Billboard's Pop Charts with MDNA selling 359,000 albums according to Neilsen Soundscan and is the biggest selling first week debut this year. MDNA is Madonna's fifth studio album in a row and is available exclusively on Universal Music. "MDNA is a record that will excite the oldest Madonna fans as it will excite the youth with her eclectic mix of electronica & new world pop. Itās the first question that anybody asks me, even today: What was it like to work with Madonna? People think that maybe something dramatic or interesting or kind of wild might have happened, based on, you know, Madonnaās persona. But I would say that Madonna was probably the easiest job I ever had ā the most cooperation from a recording artist I think I ever had. She was a true professional, even at that young age.
