Kylie groans at Madonna outfit

Kylie Minogue has poked fun at Madonna for the cheerleader outfit the 53-year-old has worn on stage during her world tour.
The songstress, who herself wears a revealing black web dress in the music video for her latest single 'Timebomb', took a swipe at the 53-year-old 'queen of pop' for dressing too young, Stuff reported.
Minogue's comment, which came after some prompting, occurred during her appearance on 'Fashion Police', the catty American chat show co-hosted by comedienne Joan Rivers and Kelly Osbourne.
Rivers showed a picture of Madonna dressed as a cheerleader and asked Minogue for her opinion.
"No - just no," Minogue said.
Taking a cue from the singer, even the host took a swing at the pop star.
"Madonna, stop it already, you're 108. Madonna as a cheerleader? What school does she go to? Our Lady of Osteoporosis? She looks like she flunked 10th grade 48 times," Rivers said.
Rivers then asked Minogue's opinion about an incident this month in which Madonna flashed a nipple at a concert in Rome.
"Was she caught up in the moment? Was it premeditated? Who knows," Minogue said.
"I think it's got people more perplexed than excited by it," she added.

Australia's pop diva Kylie Minogue has poked fun at Madonna for the cheerleader outfit the 53-year-old has worn on stage during her world tour.

Minogue, 44 - who herself wears a revealing black web dress in the music video for her latest single Timebomb - was apparently taking a swipe at Madonna for dressing too young.

Minogue's comment, which came after some prompting, occurred on Friday when she appeared on Fashion Police, the catty American chat show co-hosted by comedienne Joan Rivers and Kelly Osbourne.

Rivers showed a picture of Madonna dressed as a cheerleader and asked Minogue for her opinion.

"No - just no," Minogue said, groaning.

Rivers, picking up the signal, said: "Madonna, stop it already, you're 108. Madonna as a cheerleader? What school does she go to? Our Lady of Osteoporosis? She looks like she flunked 10th grade 48 times."

Rivers then asked Minogue's opinion about an incident this month in which Madonna flashed a nipple at a concert in Rome.

"Was she caught up in the moment? Was it premeditated? Who knows?" Minogue said.

"I think it's got people more perplexed than excited by it."

The two stars have a history of rivalry. In a 2000 awards show Madonna wore a T-shirt emblazoned with the words "Kylie Minogue" and, in 2010, Minogue put out publicity shots of herself in a Jean-Paul Gaultier conical bra of the kind Madonna made famous in her 1990 Blonde Ambition days.

Rivers referred to the competition between "the two great pop divas".

"Competition. I don't know, but I grew up such a fan of her," Minogue said. "I don't even care how we're in the same sentence. It's quite good for me."

The Making of Madonna’s First Album Cover

Carin Goldberg — the art director behind Madonna’s debut album cover — spoke to  the Cut  about her first experience with the then-unknown pop star. It’s the first question that anybody asks me, even today: What was it like to work with Madonna? People think that maybe something dramatic or interesting or kind of wild might have happened, based on, you know, Madonna’s persona. But I would say that Madonna was probably the easiest job I ever had — the most cooperation from a recording artist I think I ever had. She was a true professional, even at that young age. It was ’83, and at that point I had my own small design firm. Warner Bros. called and asked me to do her cover as a freelance designer. When I got the call, I rolled my eyes, because it was another [musician with a] one-word name. At that time it had become cliché to have a one-word name, because of Cher, so I remember thinking, God, it’s going to be one of those. So I really went into it with very little expec...
