Madonna helps Kelly drop dress size

Madonna has helped Kelly Osbourne drop a dress size by giving her exercise and diet tips.

The pair have previously worked together on the 'Girl Gone Wild' hitmaker's clothing range Material Girl, and the singer has been advising the 'Fashion Police' host on diet and exercise to help her shed weight she gained earlier this year.

A source told Closer magazine: "Madonna's helped Kelly get back to a size eight. Kelly does the Ballet Barre workout five days week - she loves the dance element and can see how it's changed her shape."

"Madonna's also encouraged her to eat in a more macrobiotic way - cutting out wheat, artificial sweeteners and cheese.

"Kelly's avoiding carbs to beat bloating and has been eating boiled eggs for breakfast, grilled chicken salad for lunch and fish with steamed greens for dinner."

Kelly is not the only member of the Osbourne family to recently go on a change of diet - her mother Sharon is on the low-carbohydrate Atkins diet so she can shed some excess weight.

Sharon said recently: "I've struggled with my weight for years, and I wanted a diet plan that would ensure I'd look and feel great.

"After looking at other weight-loss plans, I realised that Atkins is the best plan for me because my body - like many women my age - doesn't process sugar and refined carbs well."

The Making of Madonna’s First Album Cover

Carin Goldberg — the art director behind Madonna’s debut album cover — spoke to  the Cut  about her first experience with the then-unknown pop star. It’s the first question that anybody asks me, even today: What was it like to work with Madonna? People think that maybe something dramatic or interesting or kind of wild might have happened, based on, you know, Madonna’s persona. But I would say that Madonna was probably the easiest job I ever had — the most cooperation from a recording artist I think I ever had. She was a true professional, even at that young age. It was ’83, and at that point I had my own small design firm. Warner Bros. called and asked me to do her cover as a freelance designer. When I got the call, I rolled my eyes, because it was another [musician with a] one-word name. At that time it had become cliché to have a one-word name, because of Cher, so I remember thinking, God, it’s going to be one of those. So I really went into it with very little expec...
