‪#‎Madonna‬ pairs giant puffa jacket with furry hood and baggy leather pants as she jets out of JFK airport

She may have her own successful clothing line but Madonna could do with some fashion advice. 

The 55-year-old singer looked more like a Yeti than an internationally famous pop star as she made her way through JFK Airport in New York to catch a flight with her daughter Mercy James on Monday. 

Madonna was clad in her favourite huge puffa jacket with a large furry hood for her trip and added baggy leather trousers and wedge sneakers.

She wore fingerless leather gloves and a grey scarf and covered her eyes with large dark sunglasses. 

Mercy James was wrapped up against the winter chill and pulled her own small suitcase behind her as she made her way to the plane.

Christmas plans? It#s not exactly clear what Madonna has planned for Christmas but with this outfit, she was dressed for snow 

Mercy and Madonna have been enjoying some mother/daughter bonding time lately and the Material Girl took her to meet Beyonce Knowles at the Mrs Carter Show World Tour at the Barclays Centre in New York on Thursday. 

The eight-year-old smiled ecstatically when Beyonce kissed her forehead.

The queen of pop paid a rocking tribute to Knowles by posting a cute Instagram snap of the moment, adding the message, 'Mercy James gets a big fat one from the Queen. B! (sic)' 

Incognito? While Madonna's face was barely visible, this bizarre outfit would have drawn more attention to the star than normal clothes 

Madonna obviously enjoyed the spectacular show, posting another Instagram picture of the 32-year-old pop songstress on stage with the caption 'Mrs. Carter crushes the BK with her bad ass show! Girls run the world! #srtforfreedom (sic).' 

BK is slang for Brooklyn, the neighbourhood where the massive 18,100-seat arena is located and Mrs. Carter, of course, is a nod to Beyonce's husband, rapper Jay-Z, whose given name is Shawn Carter.

Madonna's Christmas plans are unclear after it was recently revealed she has split from her latest toyboy lover.

The singer separated from French dancer Brahim Zaibat, 25, after three years, following suggestions he was tired of being known as 'Mr Madonna'. 

Mr Zaibat, who recently appeared on the French version of Dancing with the Stars, is said to have grown increasingly fed-up with living in the shadow of his world famous girlfriend.

He is making his own bid for stardom, after previously admitting that his high-profile relationship with the US star has at times been a 'handicap' to his own success.

Holiday plans: There was no sign of Madonna's other children as she and Mercy jetted off for Christmas 

Sources in Zaibat's home city of Lyon, eastern France, recently told the Mail that he was 'absolutely delighted' about performing in a show which also features Gallic celebrities like model Noemie Lenoir, who made her name in Britain in a series of Marks & Spencer advertisements.

A close friend explained: 'He is far more assertive than before. Brahim is no longer Madonna's little boy – he wants to be known for who he is. That's the reason he is doing so much in the media. He has big plans, and wants to move on from the Mr Madonna tag.’

The couple's relationship is also said to have suffered because of their punishing work schedules, with Madonna currently based in New York. The pair had rarely been pictured together in the last few months, while Zaibat had regularly posted pictures of himself with his pretty dance partner Katrina Patchett.

She meanwhile has recently reconnected with former husband Sean Penn. The couple, who ended their four-year marriage in 1989, reunited for a charity trip to Haiti in support of the actor’s J/P Haitian Relief Organization in the Caribbean country that was devastated by the 2010 earthquake.
