Having worked with Madonna on her Secretprojectrevolution, Timor said she had inspired him creatively and as a person.

Madonna always looks for new challenges in life.

“When everyone walks the right path, she will walk the left path to show that she has a vision and her own way of expressing,” adds Timor. “She is a very strong woman and doesn’t need to follow the mainstream. That’s what makes her an artist.”
Despite Madonna‘s age, Timor Steffens confesses that he hopes they will have children. “I want to be a dad, it’s my goal to have my own family, that’s there in the back of my mind all the time,” he says.
Timor admits that “there is an age gap between me and Madonna,” but he adds that “I don’t notice it” because “my girlfriends have always been older than me and that’s how I like it. I learn a lot.”
Even thought Timor “hang out with a lot of celebrities,” he claims that “I do that because I genuinely care for who they are as a person. I’m a very loving person – if I hang out with them it’s because I have a big connection with them.”
Timor says he and Madonna spend much of their time together in the gym. “Madonna is so disciplined with the gym, which is great,” he says. “I’m in shape, I’ve got a washboard stomach but she inspires me to go that extra mile. I call it ‘besting’ when I workout really hard.”
Speaking of Kabbalah, he says: “I like it, it’s spiritual – I’m not a member of it but I am into it.”

The Making of Madonna’s First Album Cover

Carin Goldberg — the art director behind Madonna’s debut album cover — spoke to  the Cut  about her first experience with the then-unknown pop star. It’s the first question that anybody asks me, even today: What was it like to work with Madonna? People think that maybe something dramatic or interesting or kind of wild might have happened, based on, you know, Madonna’s persona. But I would say that Madonna was probably the easiest job I ever had — the most cooperation from a recording artist I think I ever had. She was a true professional, even at that young age. It was ’83, and at that point I had my own small design firm. Warner Bros. called and asked me to do her cover as a freelance designer. When I got the call, I rolled my eyes, because it was another [musician with a] one-word name. At that time it had become cliché to have a one-word name, because of Cher, so I remember thinking, God, it’s going to be one of those. So I really went into it with very little expec...
