While she was flying, Madonna's popularity was soaring on Saturday night.

The 56-year-old was jetting out New York City with her son David Banda, nine, just as an interview discussing that big fall was airing on British television.

Madonna's appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show - in which she addressed one of the most talked about Brits performances of all time - gained her plenty of praise on Twitter, as users took to social media to commend her for her honesty.

Madonna looked youthful in tracksuit bottoms and trainers to take a night flight with her similarly-clad young son.
