Did she borrow Lourdes' clothes? Madonna, 56, steps out in tiny leather shorts as she attends Met Gala afterparty with her similarly-dressed 18-year-old daughter

So Madonna wasn't going attend Met Gala afterparty on Monday evening in anything less than a statement youthful outfit, and one that she knew would certainly raise a few eyebrows.
The 56-year-old music icon made her way to the star-studded bash at Up & Down in New York after the fashionable extravaganza, wearing a look that might have been more suited her teenage daughter Lourdes, who was also at the bash.

No holding back: Madonna appeared to have borrowed her 18-year-old daughter Lourdes' clothes as she attended the Met Gala afterparty at Up & Down in New York on Monday night

She certainly has a body to die for, and didn't mind showing it off in a pair of teeny-tiny leather hotpants, worn with racy fishnet tights and quilted wedge boots.
Adding some bling action to the urban-inspired look, she covered up in a dollar bill-emblazoned leather jacket.

And, not wanting to keep it looking too casual, she added several large gold chains around her neck, some with little 'M' charms on.
However, despite her ensemble looking like it might be perfect for her 18-year-old offspring, Madonna sure proved she's got the figure to just about make it work, her legs looking enviably trim and toned in the daring bottoms.

Look the bomb in Madonna's Moschino jacket

Ah, a brief respite from the floor-length gowns! We're feeling a bit dressed-out from all the Met Gala gowns, so seeing Madonna rocking this killer bomber jacket with shorts is like a gift from the fashion gods!
The Blonde Ambition singer looked half her age at the Moschino after-party wearing - who else - Moschino.
While we're not sure if we can pull off the leather shorts (with fishnet tights, mind) we're seriously digging this bomber jacket. Emblazoned with dollar signs, this is a blinged-up, irreverent way of tapping into the sports-luxe trend.
The best bit? It's available to buy right now at FarFetch, although hurry, there's just one left! If you can't handle shelling out THAT much cash, however, take a peek at our edit below featuring our top bomber jackets from the high street and beyond.

Lourdes' outfit was markedly similar to her mother's, too: the teen beauty wore a tiny black Moschino dress with a racy cross-over detail across the bust and an almost-sheer skirt.
The celebrity offspring finished off her 1990s-inspired look with a collection of chokers and necklaces sitting on her decolletage, incredibly chunky platform shoes with silver straps, and her brunette tresses worn loose and free.
Also visible was her septum ring, and a pair of oversized gold hoop earrings.
Edgy details: The 56-year-old superstar didn't feel like dressing her age for the post-show bash, wearing tiny leather hotpants, fishnets and a dollar bill-emblazoned jacket

And there was no denying her mum Madonna looked beautiful, her long blonde mane styled in elegant waves, with her make-up applied perfectly to show off her inexplicably youthful, glowing skin and shapely eyes.
However, it seemed the pair had been competing with their ensembles for the night, or perhaps had got dressed from the same wardrobe.
She was one of many stars to head to Rihanna's bash at trendy nightclub Up & Down across New York after the Met Gala, which had been held at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art.
The Material Girl hitmaker had previously wowed on the red carpet at the fashionable gala event, which is held annually and with a different theme.

She posed alongside Katy Perry who, like her, had chosen a graffiti-covered gown for the ceremony.
They've posed together for a photo shoot previously, and Madonna and Katy, 30, were once again in cahoots are they arrived together both wearing creations by Jeremy Scott for Moschino.
The gowns both featured scratchy, edgy designs scribbled across them, and Madonna couldn't resist to get yet another plug in for her album Rebel Heart.

The exhibit, called Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film and Fashion, will run at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art, Costume Institute through August 15.
It explores the way Chinese art and aesthetics have been interpreted by the West over the years.
The show boasts a massive 30,000 square feet of gallery space filled with rich ensembles: Chinese costumes, historic garments and decorative arts, displayed beside the work of dozens of Western designers who were inspired by China, including names like John Galliano, Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren, Cristobal Balenciaga, Jean Paul Gaultier and many more.
Many celebrities have been busy sharing behind-the-scenes pictures of their preparations, but there is a social media ban at the event that has been circulated to all attendees, according to reports.
Guests will receive notice upon arrival that 'the use of phones for photography and social media will not be permitted' throughout the event, a controversial ban which has apparently come at the request of the evening’s host, Anna.

On July 10 1985, The Playboy magazine issue of nude Madonna photos was released !!

Playboy  publishes nude photos of  Madonna  taken before she was famous. The singer did a number of nude photo shoots from 1977-1980, starting when she was an 18-year-old student at the University of Michigan looking for some extra cash and trying to form a band. Now a huge star,  Playboy  publishes some of the shots taken in 1979 and 1980 in a revealing spread. A year earlier, the magazine turned down nude photos of Miss America winner  Vanessa Williams , which their rival  Penthouse  published. "We think Vanessa genuinely didn't know what she was doing, didn't know her photos might be published," the article states. "Madonna, on the other hand, posed repeatedly for two noted photographers who routinely publish what they shoot." One of the photographers, Lee Friedlander, says of the shoot: "She seemed very confident, a street-wise girl." Madonna has little to say on the matter, but doesn't shy away. "I'm not ashamed,...

Madonna's ex Carlos Leon marries designer Betina Holte...and daughter Lourdes attends the wedding

Her father Carlos Leon split from her mother Madonna in 1996, shortly after she was born. But Lourdes Leon clearly bears no ill will towards the 47-year-old personal trainer. The 16-year-old was seen attending Carlos' wedding to Zac Posen designer Betina Holte recently in Denmark.
