Despite coming after the whole Erotica backlash I'll Remember became a hit all around the world, spending 4 weeks at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching the number 1 spot in Canada and in Italy.

Despite the huge success this song was only included in the 1995 ballads compilation Something To Remember, but it was omitted from Madonna following greatest hits compilations.
